Mornings are not the same for everybody. Trying to wake up in a good mood makes the difference between an awesome productive today from a day where nothing gets done. And it’s no secret that highly successful people have tailored their own morning routines to get a head start for themselves. It is their way to prepare themselves on what’s ahead. One thing is for sure – if you want to have a great morning follow these simple tips.
Tip 1- Sleep on it
We all need at least 7-8 hours on sleep a day. It’s something that other people take for granted but it’s a requirement for a body to work. You should consider sleeping earlier and suppress the urge to browse in your phone at night. Keep away unnecessary distractions and turn off the lights early to wake up feeling more refreshed. If you are a night owl, then start small and adjust your sleeping time little by little to complete your hours of sleep
Tip 2 – Let the sunlight in
Natural light is a good way to boost your mood. As soon as you wake up, draw the curtains and open your windows. Turn on the lights if it’s not sunny outside. This is a more natural way of waking up than a noisy alarm. You can go outside and soak up the sun, take breathing exercises and move your body.
Tip 3 – Cool off
After a good night’s rest our body heat is up and naturally cooling it down will get our body to feel more elated. A glass of cold water can especially do the trick and also taking a morning shower. Having a good shower experience is a fantastic way to start your morning.
Tip 4 – Good breakfast is key
Our blood sugar is usually low in the morning. So, raise it up with a good cup of coffee or a glass of orange juice. Food high with carbohydrates and caffeine are right choices. Even if you have no appetite a slice of toast with your choice of spread will keep your stomach busy.
Tip 5 – Get Excited
Having to start your day might not make you feel excited at all. But you can do that by energizing yourself with music or a daily exercise. Do one of your guilty pleasures in the morning and make it so that you will keep on anticipating it every day. Watching an episode of your favorite series or just jotting down your to-do list it’s all up to you and have a great morning.
